Happy 2018!!!!!!

There’s something so exciting and intimidating about putting together a list of new goals for the new year. I suppose it’s because I’ll spend a lot of time working away at these goals. This year, I am trying to focus on more that will bring me long-term joy rather then short-lived success.

Last year, I started using the Powersheets by Cultivate What Matters. They are an ” intentional goal planner that helps you uncover purpose-filled goals and plan action steps to make what matters happen.” This was such a wonderful investment, and it has helped me focus on what I really want to do with my life. You can still purchase 2018 Powersheets, and if you’re looking to make an impact in 2018, I highly suggest buying a bundle!

With that in mind, here are my tops goals for 2018!

Personal:

  1. Live a Healthy Life – Eat healthier and drink more water. Also, after 2 years of thinking about it, I am going to train to run a half marathon!! I am so excited/freaked out/nervous/not sure/stoked about it. Keep me accountable!!
  2. Dig into the Word! – Last year, I finally was able to get into a routine of reading my Bible every day. Then, the fall craziness sunk in and my perfect routine was hit, hard. I want to get back into the swing of it, and I want to be focused during my one-on-one time.
  3. F-U-N – Okay, so this is cheesy, but I really want this year to be fun. We want to make so many great memories during this stage of life. I also want to get back to some of the things I love like: baking, singing, playing the guitar and piano, traveling, and being crafty! This also includes lots of unplugged family and Hayden time.

Business:

  1. Serve MORE! – Last year, I waded into the waters of being an entrepreneur. Now, that I know a little bit of what to expect, I want to be more than just be a business. I want to serve my clients and followers MORE!! This is going to look like several different things, but I am super excited to dig into this realm this year. P.S. The first way I am serving YOU is through my e-mail list! I am launching a new email newsletter to my subscribers. It’s not spam, I PROMISE. It’s a place full of free tips, tricks, and stories of crazy things that happen here-and-there. You can join in the footer of this page!! Just sign up for the Haley Nicole Newsletter.
  2. Wider Photographs – So, this is specifically for photography, but I am hoping to shoot wider images this year. I typically like to get close up images, and draw attention to detail. This year, I want to try to add more “big picture” images to my portfolio. I can’t wait to see what new prettiness I will have at the end of the year!
  3. Be more Vulnerable – It is so easy to just put “my best” on Instagram, Facebook, or here on the blog. Life is not always “Instagram worthy” or “#Goals.” For real, sometimes I don’t look put together and things just don’t get done. However, I really struggle to show that. I think it’s just human nature for people to want to show their best and hide the real day-to-day struggle. I totally understand!! There is a problem when individuals start to look down on their own life because they believe in a false reality. So, this year, I’m trying to show the real crazy/silly/goofy/messy/sometimes unproductive Haley Nicole. Yes, somedays I have my dress shirt on and ironed and my coffee is super cute, but a lot of days, I have a t-shirt on, and I am eating string cheese and applesauce for lunch at 2pm #notjoking.

I have a feeling that 2018 is going to be a great, great year over here, and I am so excited to dig my feet in. I have no doubt that there are going to be some challenges along the way, but y’all, they just make the sweet moments that much sweeter!

Have you settled on your new year goals? Be sure to share in the comment section, below!! If you have any tips or tricks on how I can accomplish my goals, don’t forget to share!!

xoxo!!
