Today’s senior session is extra special, because it’s technically a senior session – but it’s also not! If that sentence confused you, that’s great! How about I explain?
This summer, Tess reached out to me that she didn’t have the chance to get her senior pictures taken while she was in high school. She had just graduated, and she still wanted to have the “senior experience.” She asked if it would be weird to have “senior” photos taken in the fall even though she would technically wouldn’t be a senior anymore. First, I was thrilled Tess reached out. I met her at a Photo Event last year, and she was so sweet {and gorgeous}. I reassured her that this was not weird in anyway, and we figured out the best date for her to drive home from school. I share all of this because I am so PROUD of Tess. That might sound a little extreme, but I hear sooo many freshman’s in high school or students late in their senior year say they’ve already “missed their chance” for photos. I firmly believe in making it a priority to take photos to capture different seasons of life {I know, shocker!}, but seriously, life goes so fast and things change SO quickly! It is so special to have life documented.
Since Tess’s shoot was half senior year/college life, we mixed in a little bit of her new home away from home – The University of Illinois. She shared life about life at the UofI, joining a sorority, and her love for fall! This girl is so much fun and so sweet! I am so glad she decided on a session! P.S. She was a TOTAL trooper as it was sprinkling throughout her entire session.
