Okay, y’all so these “5 Things” posts have started to become one of my favorite things on the blog! It’s just so fun, and I hope you’re enjoying them too! If you haven’t read the previous ones, you can catch here: #1, #2, and #3! Since today’s Valentine’s Day, I figured I would share all things that I LOVE! Let’s get started!

1. I LOVE food!

   Not going to lie – this is probably too generic, but I’m going with it! I LOVE food, and on most of our trips, we heavily research the different dining options before embarking! We specifically love good, hole-in-the-wall restaurants. I definitely got this love from my parents {they watch LOTS of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives! on Food Network}. I always request that we find a cute coffee shop no matter where we are traveling to. I enjoy eating anything from a hearty steak to a foot-long corn dog at the fair. I’m learning to love spicy food – definitely not a pro at this yet. I am OBSESSED with Mexican food!! Oh, I also LOVE to watch baking TV shows just so yummy and entertaining at the same time. Give me ALLLLL the food!!

2. I LOVE middle school ministry!

   If you didn’t know, I lead a group of 15-20 middle school girls each Wednesday night. I started leading this group when they were in the sixth grade, and I can’t believe they are almost finished with their eight grade year! It has been such a blessing to watch them grow over the past few years. I have no doubt that God called me to this ministry. Middle school definitely gets a bit messy, girls aren’t always nice, and there is occasional drama, BUT I know that this is such an important time in each of my girls’ lives. I feel so blessed that I get to spend time with them each week. I’m sure I’m going to cry after our last group meeting this year.

3. I LOVE sarcasm!

   If you hang out with me long enough, you’ll find out that I love sarcasm. I’m sure my love for jokes comes from my dad. When we get on a roll, there’s no telling what will happen! {I know not everyone takes sarcasm well, so I typically try to keep it on the down low.} I’m pretty sure Hayden has become a little bit sarcastic since being with me. I’m not sure if I should be proud or ashamed!

4. I LOVE saving money!

   It’s true – I’m a total penny pincher. We don’t coupon, I just don’t have time to do that, but y’all, I am ALL about saving money. I’m a firm believer that so many of us spend way to much money on things we don’t really need. I’m trying to nick this. I want my life to be intentional. I want to save for what’s important, spend on what’s needed, and give generously. It’s not always fun to save money, but living a debt-free life is a goal of ours. We don’t follow any specific money-saving program. I’ve kind of made my own up over the years, and we adapted it to our lives when we got married. Maybe I’ll share about that at some point.

5. I LOVE the weather!

   Oh gosh – this fact is one that Hayden thought I should share. Oddly enough, I follow the weather ALL of the time. I know some people talk about the weather because that’s suppose to be a good small talk subject, but I actually enjoy it. We travel a lot and I photograph outside a lot, so the weather plays a big part in what we do. I’m always curious what’s going to happen.
