Wow y’all, somehow it’s already been two months since my last coffee talk post! Last time, we were still in the middle of a stay-at-home order, and let me just say, it feels great to not be in that in anymore!! While we are being extremely cautious and specific of where we’re going – the mood around our area is so much better now that businesses are back and things are sort-of back to normal. I could share so much about our life since COVID, but let’s be real – we hear about that enough! So, I’ll share some different things to keep the mood happy!

Personal Life

Things have been busy for us these past few months! We’re officially in our third trimester. It’s absolutely crazy how fast the last month has flown by. Hayden and I knew that things would start to get busier this summer, and so, we finished the nursery around the first of June. It was so nice to complete it while I was still feeling more “with it.” I love DIY and design, and I didn’t want to wait until the last minute to finish the room. We will be sharing some photos at the end of the month after our baby shower. Throughout this whole COVID situation, our families have been incredible understanding that this is a very odd and difficult thing for Hayden and I to navigate. We have been able to get together with our immediate families, and I am SO grateful. Of course, things look different this year, but our families are determined to still make fun memories while supporting each other’s ways of handling COVID.

Work Life

Sessions are BACK! Of course, if you’ve been on the blog lately then you know this, but in May, I had no clue where things would be in June or July. It has been so nice to see my senior girls!! I’m doing a lot of dreaming and planning of what this next year will include. I’m really excited to see where God is leading me. More to come!!

Faith

Whew. Y’all, it’s been a doozy. If I’m being really real, these past few months have been challenging, and my faith has been put to the test in more ways than one. I think it’s important as Christians to be honest with each other and share when we struggle. Expecting a baby during a global pandemic has definitely challenged me in my faith, and some days, I have to constantly remind myself of who is in control. If you’re experiencing those same struggles just know you’re not alone. Worship music and chatting with others about my struggles is the number one way I’m getting through these challenges.

Fitness

Oops. Not doing the best here. I was running consistently, but then, I started experiencing a lot of discomfort. So, now, my goal is to get my “steps” in for each day, and I try to go for a walk each morning. The walk not only helps me clear my head, but it feels SO good to just get out and do something.

Things I’m Loving:

  • Summertime!!!! I know it’s not everyone’s favorite time of the year, but y’all, I love it!! Summer is my favorite season, and I’m so happy the sun is out, and it’s warm (of course, I could do without the 100* temps).
  • The American Bible Challenge on Netflix – Hayden and I found this TV show on Netflix, and we’ve been watching an episode every night. Clean family fun! It’s cheesy, but we enjoy it.
  • Prepping ALL the things! If you didn’t know, I LOVE planning and prepping for events/trips. So, it’s no surprise to me that I’m fully enjoying nesting for Baby Klock. I’m loving making lists, crossing things off the to-do list, and prepping for all things baby. Plus, baby stuff is just SO cute so that makes it fun too!
  • Pizza Night Friday – We started this a few months back during shelter in place. It was an easy meal we could plan for every week, and now, we’re hooked. Pizza isn’t healthy, but ya know what – I love it! It’s something so fun and easy that I look forward to every week. It’s not even fancy – I’m talking pizza from the frozen food section in Walmart.

Chat with y’all soon!
