Fall is just around the corner, but before I’m overflowing with fall sessions and photos, I was so excited to capture Katie’s summer senior session. I know I’ve said it several times, but summer is my favorite time to photograph. Everyone loves the fall, but I just ADORE the bright colors summertime brings. Katie’s session did not disappoint, and I’m sure you’ll agree. She is such a fun-loving lady!

I met Katie this past year at my Firefly Prom Photo Event. She looked incredible, and I was thrilled when she messaged me just a few weeks later. She was ready to schedule her senior session before she finished her junior year! I love to hear {and see} my seniors get excited for their session. I put so much love and effort into making them feel special, so when I can see they’re enjoying it – it’s just that much better. Katie and I clicked instantly – she’s a chatty girl with a bubbly personality. It’s so easy to talk to Katie! She filled me in on her life as we started her session. She’s a senior at St. Anthony High School in Effingham. She’s on the volleyball and softball teams, and she acts in the school productions.

To top off her fun session, her sister, Elizabeth, joined us for the second half. Elizabeth hopped in for a few photos and worked behind the camera to get Katie to laugh {because let’s be real – my corny jokes are rarely funny}. I had such a great time with these girls, and despite the ridiculously humid weather, Katie looked stunning from start to finish! I love her light beach waves and off-the-should piece. This girl knows how to put a look together!
