Christmas Check List

As many of you know, I absolutely LOVE Christmas. It is my favorite time of the year, and this year, I started to get excited in July {yep, you read that right}. We kick off our family festivities the day after Thanksgiving, and until December 26, I am yelling “MERRY CHRISTMAS” every ten minutes {okay, maybe not that often}. Since I’ve been out of high school, I’ve noticed that the holiday season files by so fast, and before I know it’s a new year! So, in the past several years, we’ve added more traditions and holiday festivities to make the most of the four-to-five week of Christmas celebrations.
Things to do this Christmas Season:
-
Put up your tree {it’s a given, but you gotta do it!}
-
Watch a Christmas Classic {See my favorite Christmas movies, here}
-
Play a Game {We love: Ticket to Ride, Codenames, Catan, + Phase 10}
-
Listen to Christmas Music {See my favorite Christmas albums, here}
-
Bake some Christmas cookies or treats
-
Wear fuzzy Christmas socks
-
Attend a Christmas Service
-
Support a local charity
-
Make some homemade hot chocolate {Add peppermint sticks for extra goodness}
-
Go see Christmas lights {cheap date night!}
-
Take a group of friends Christmas caroling
-
Snag some sales Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping
-

-

-

-
Buy a Starbucks holiday drink
-
Test your balance and go ice skating
-
Drink a glass Coke by the Christmas tree {technically not a Christmas thing, but it’s cute…so we’re going with it!}
-
Get cozy in Christmas PJs!
-
Wrap Christmas presents
-
Attend an ugly Christmas sweater party
-

-

Hopefully, this will help you get a good start to your holiday fun! I hope and pray you and your family are able to enjoy this incredible time of the year. Hayden and I are looking forward to slowing down and spending more time with each other and family.
